My birthday was on Sunday, so when I saw the email in my mailbox, I thought, “Alicia Witt wrote a birthday song for me???” I thought that was funny. This is a great thing going on, though, and I definitely will participate.

You might be interested in a song written by Douglas Major entitled “Aurora Borealis” – although it sits a little high in the register for your voice. The lyrics are taken from a diary entry of a woman who was flying from Japan to DC over Alaska, and saw the Aurora at 35K feet – a remarkable experience to be in it not just see it. The song was commissioned by her widower after she was consumed by a rogue wave and he nearly drowned trying to find/save her in the surf. Amazing story and way to honor his late wife.

Thank you so much for sharing Elizabeth and Bill’s story, Alicia. My sister is struggling with brain cancer right now as well, after finding a tumor a year ago. There aren’t any easy answers and we don’t know how long she will be with us… but we are glad for the time we do have. I do know I’m grateful for my wife, and that we are both healthy. There are just no guarantees in this world. Thanks again for sharing.

Alicia, that video shows the beauty in your soul, searching for truths but those answers will come only from your heart and you won’t know who you are ever, why, because we don’t know and we will never know.

Love, life will always be a mystery and that’s where the joy is, in the mystery and the joyful struggle which you have, you have been given a ton of will power to find the truths in love, life.

The joy you have is the will you have to seek the truths of love and life.

Alicia, we met a few years ago at the race in LA for brain tumor research. Your writing is beautiful and I concur wholeheartedly, Bill and Elizabeth showed all of us what true love is truly about and I am grateful to have been blessed by their example. I am continually inspired by both of them. Bill will forever live on in our hearts and we will continue to fight the disease in his honor. Blessings to you Alicia.

Well, you’ve done enough to be zen for the next year. Trusting your gut and not second guessing for fear of failure is very courageous. Worst case is you can change your course, but why the hell not give it a go and see what happens. Best of luck on this, and Im confident it will work out for you.

Ms Witt; I enjoy your work as an actress a great deal (I was unaware of your musical abilities until now). Your performances always appear heartfelt and genuine. I find your reliance on ability and talent rather than your physical attributes refreshing. Please don’t get me wrong. I do find you an attractive young women but that is only icing on the cake. I also appreciate your patience with those of us who do not share some of your personal issues. I’m a little bit too senior to be a fan but I will consider myself an enthusiastic viewer. Thank you again for your performances.
